1984里有很多很有意思的词，例如goodwise，duckspeak，thinkpol等等，虽然George Orwell写这本书的时候并没有显现出太多的语言驾御方面的天赋，（比起同年代的享有相同盛名的作家，他只能是这样），但他对词语的研究和对其发展的大胆假设，绝对不逊色于他人。每次阅读1984，都带给我全身心的愉悦。

欣闻〈奥威尔传〉已出版，贴一首他写过小诗，纪念一下这位伟大的作家（doufu心目中排名第一的作家。。。）。


Romance

When I was young and had no sense
In far-off Mandalay
I lost my heart to a Burmese girl
As lovely as the day.


Her skin was gold, her hair was jet,
Her teeth were ivory;
I said ‘For twenty silver pieces,
